Anyone who spends time on the water at night knows the value of a quality deck light – the latest offerings from Narva combine impressive light output with tough construction that's designed to resist the rigours of demanding marine environments.
The two new 9-33V LED deck lamp models provide the versatility of white and red output. In white light mode, illumination is a brilliant 1000 Lumens (5700°K), while the red light offers 623nm. At the flick of a switch, the user can transition from lighting up the deck, to red illumination which provides better night vision for anglers.
As well as offering plenty of light output, another key benefit of these Narva lamps is their all-nylon body and bracket construction. By adopting nylon mounting and fixing hardware – including locknut and washer – to mount the lamp to the boat, owners avoid galvanic corrosion, a regular occurrence when stainless steel and aluminium meet, particularly in marine settings.
The nylon bracket is also extremely strong and has been shock and vibration tested to JIS D1601 (marine standard), ensuring it won't break in even the roughest seas. A further benefit of the bracket is a clever design that allows 360° rotation, as well as a choice of single bolt or dual screw mounting, providing additional fitting options. The deck lamps also meeting IP67 for water and dust ingress.
To better match the boat aesthetics that the LED deck lamps will be fitted to, they're available in either black (part no. 72443) or white (part no. 72443W) colour options.
For peace of mind, both lamps offer a low current draw of only 0.57A @12V (white illumination), to minimise battery drain, while the LEDs are backed by a 5-year warranty.
Already available in New Zealand for several months, users have provided excellent real-world feedback on the Narva LED deck lamps' performance, and they'll no doubt be well received by Australian anglers also. The lamps are available from leading fishing, 4x4 and adventure outlets nation-wide.
