Sydney, Australia, 14 March 2024 – In recent years, alongside MG Motor Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Ciao, the leadership team has established itself as a driver of the company’s transformation in Australia and NZ into a leading provider of high tech vehicles and accessories packaged with safety and the customer journey in mind.

In order to rigorously press ahead with this transformation as the industry shifts to electric vehicles, MG Australia has appointed a suite of strategic staff in key management positions.

  • Kim Nguyen has been appointed as the new Sales Director for MG Motor Australia effective from December 2022. She previously worked at Sydney City MG as the Dealer Principal. Ms. Nguyen journey in the automotive industry began in 2009, since that time, she has successfully advanced her career to higher roles such as General Manager and HR Manager. With her experience in building dealerships along with excellent industry knowledge of the market, she has already added a new level of expertise to our company. Ms. Nguyen’s is dedicated to applying the customer’ and dealer’ first in all her interactions with her team. With her new position at MG Motor Australia, Ms. Nguyen will oversee the strategic direction and operations of the company alongside the CEO. She’ll also be driving initiatives to increase sales and market share, introduce new products, as well as strengthen partnerships.

  • Peter Coorey has joined MG Motor Australia as our Director of Network Developmenteffective 2023. Peter brings over 20 years of work experience as a manager and general manager within and outside of the industry. He has played an instrumental role in uplifting the brand, structure and collaboration of various companies including our own back in 2016 when he was our Head of Sales and Strategy.

  • Mark Roberts has been appointed as the Director of Human Resources for MG Motor Australia and NZ with effect from 2023. Prior to accepting this position, Mark served as a Chief People Officer and consultant to sporting organisations, start ups and other global companies. He brings experience and a proven track record of success in the human resources area, which will be invaluable in helping MG meet its goals and objectives while enhancing culture and longevity.

  • David Hearty has helped drive marketing initiatives at MG Motor Australia after success in other automotive brands, since 2017, and as of 2023 has been named Head of MG Motor Australia's Marketing in his new title of National Marketing Director – with a strategic focus on driving a new brand direction and evolving the company strategy with a focus on awareness of electric vehicles, community, accessories and the growing dealer network. Mr. Hearty’s approach thus far has served him well within the business having worked across a range of campaigns including the original ZS, events and most recently before this appointment as the National Digital Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

  • MG Motor Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of David Giammetta as PR and Communications Manager for MG Australia and New Zealand, effective May 2022. Mr. Giammetta brings passion and knowledge from the variety of strategic roles he’s previously held within automotive marketing, journalism, digital and health communications. To date, he has helped and continues to evolve and drive the Australian and NZ brand communications strategy as well as contribute to wider product planning, media relations, a official spokesperson and bringing the brand’s story telling to life through a customer and staffing lens. He works strategically with wider marketing, sponsorships, brand, digital, product and the global team to uplift the brand reputation.

  • Kenneth Lu has taken over the position of Aftersales Director for MG Motor Australia and NZ (2023) and is now in charge of MG’s booming Aftersales area catering to MG customers throughout their ownership journey. Kenneth has a focus on implementing operational excellence paired with solutions focused customer centric service. Kenneth brings a wealth of knowledge and experience after heading up several roles in automotive over his 15 years within the industry.

  • Brad Chruszcz started his automotive journey in 2006 with a strong passion for the industry. He has always been motivated into both growing and maintaining a network of loyal clients. He has been able to positively develop this driven mindset from his transition as Sales Manager through to his latest role. As our newly appointed National Sales Manager, Brad is a prime example to his team on how to interact with customers, dealers and peers in the MG way.
