Sydney, 15 August 2024 – Škoda is offering boosted medium SUV value with the new Karoq Select from a $39,990 recommended retail price (RRP)* or a national $40,990 drive-away**, and the new Karoq Sportline 4x2 from $45,990 RRP* or $46,990 drive away**.
Škoda’s duo of new Karoq medium SUV grades complement an update to the existing Sportline 4x4 flagship that also adds significantly to its standard specification from $56,590 RRP*, or $57,990 drive away**.
The Škoda Karoq Select replaces the entry Karoq, adding standard metallic paint and advanced driver fatigue detection.
This is in addition to a high level of exterior and safety equipment such as: 18-inch alloy wheels, silver roof rails and window frame surrounds, LED headlights and tail-lights with rear dynamic indicators, front and rear parking sensors, electrically folding and heated door mirrors, tyre pressure monitoring, adaptive cruise control with follow-to-stop function, Front Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Assist and Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert.
Inside, the Karoq Select features a leather-trimmed steering wheel, height adjustable front seats, auto-dimming rear view mirror, automatic on/off headlights and wipers, keyless start, dual-zone climate control, 8.0-inch centre touchscreen and 8.25-inch colour driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, twin USB-C ports and voice control.
A new addition to the range, the Škoda Karoq Sportline 4x2 replaces the Karoq Style in the line-up – offering $6,500 of additional standard equipment for an additional $1,400 RRP. Škoda’s dedication to value delivers $5,100 of additional customer value compared with before.
Features that were not previously standard on the Style include: anthracite 19-inch alloy wheels, front spoiler and rear diffuser, black Sportline highlights including black window frame surrounds, Matrix LED headlights with adaptive high-beam, LED interior lighting (front reading lights and footwells), LED ambient lighting, LED puddle lamps, heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, gear shift paddles, sports comfort front seats, aluminium finish pedals, black headlining trim, Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Lane Guidance and Emergency Assist.
Additional equipment for the Sportline 4x2 over the Select further includes fully keyless entry, rear privacy glass, heat insulating windshield, power tailgate with hands-free opening, 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit, DAB+ digital radio, wireless smartphone charging and a rear-view mirror mounted USB-C port.
The Karoq Sportline 4x2 shares the Select’s 250Nm and 110kW 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, a combination that offers among the lowest fuel consumption and highest torque of two-wheel drive medium SUVs.
The Škoda Karoq Sportline 4x4 adds $7,200 in additional features for an extra $5,300 RRP.
With 140kW of power and 320Nm of torque, the 2.0-litre turbocharged and 7-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) equipped Karoq Sportline 4x4 becomes a more fully featured flagship.
Previously optional equipment is now standard, including: Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), progressive steering, 9.2-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation, 10-speaker CANTON® premium audio system, hill descent control, heated windshield washer nozzles, Park Assist and Surround Area View Camera. These features are also above and beyond the Sportline 4x2.
Further new equipment for the Sportline 4x4 shared with the 4x2 includes heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, Adaptive Lane Guidance and Emergency Assist.
A $4,000 Signature Pack adds leather appointed upholstery, power adjustable front seats and memory function including mirror settings. A $1,900 panoramic sunroof is also available.
Škoda Australia product manager Glenn Reid said the updated Karoq continued Škoda’s clear strategy of providing increased value and new model grades focused on customer preferences.
“Škoda is introducing the Karoq Select as a signpost for maximum value, while the new Karoq Sportline 4x2 combines Australian customer preference for sports model grades with over $5,000 of additional value compared with the Karoq Style it replaces,” Mr Reid said.
“The performance-oriented Karoq Sportline 4x4 benefits from $1,900 of additional value, while every Škoda medium SUV grades can be driven away with a high level of finance flexibility and assurance thanks to Škoda Choice with guaranteed future value (GFV).”
