Two hotly-anticipated upcoming arrivals and a host of exciting new models will headline Suzuki's display at the inaugural Australian Motorcycle Expo Gold Coast on 20-22 February.

Expo visitors can check out the all-new 2009 GSX-R1000 superbike and Gladius SFV650 V-Twin sport ahead of their Australian releases, along with the new Boulevard M90 cruiser, the 2009 RM-Z450 motocrosser and an extensive range of Suzuki motorcycles, scooters and ATVs.

"The 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 and Gladius are two of the most-anticipated new motorcycles being released this year - we're excited to give enthusiasts a sneak peak of what we have to offer," said Perry Morison, General Manager Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia.

"These new models will be part of Suzuki's massive display to celebrate the first-ever Gold Coast Expo, with over 50 motorcycles including the 2009 RM-Z450 and Boulevard M90 cruiser which have recently landed in Australia."

Set to arrive in Australia in the coming months, the all-new, 2009 GSX-R1000 takes the legend of Suzuki's flagship GSX-R to another level.

A lighter, more-powerful and more-responsive new 999cc engine is packed with race-bred technology and boasts a class-leading power-to-weight ratio.

With a range of other major developments including an all-new chassis, a revolutionary new front suspension system, enhanced brakes and sleek, wind tunnel-refined bodywork, the all-new Suzuki GSX-R1000 is ready to own the racetrack.

A unique new concept in motorcycling, the Suzuki Gladius stands out from the pack, exuding fun and style.

With a 650cc, V-Twin powerplant derived from the popular Suzuki SV650, the Gladius matches sporty performance with a comfortable slim chassis.

Ahead of its arrival in Australia in mid-March, expo attendees will get a sneak peak of the Gladius' distinctive look, with a compact trellis frame, edgy lines and coloured steel tubing.

Suzuki's SuperX championship-winning RM-Z motocrossers will be on display, with Matt Moss' RM-Z250 joined by a Chad Reed - Team Rockstar Makita Suzuki RM-Z450.

The bold new Boulevard M90 is the fifth and newest model in Suzuki's popular Boulevard cruiser line-up, of which two were among the Top 10 best-selling cruisers in 2008.

Powered by a 90-cubic-inch, 1500cc, fuel-injected, V-Twin engine, the Boulevard M90 offers riders class-leading power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratios and reduced fuel consumption.

True to the form of the revolutionary Boulevard range, the engine combines with Suzuki's latest technology and distinctive cruiser styling in a lighter and more manoeuvrable package offering outstanding value for money.

Aussie MotoGP star Chris Vermeulen will appear at the Suzuki stand on the opening night of the Exhibition, Friday 20 February, signing autographs from 6:00pm-6:45pm.

Fresh from his sensational Supercross success, Team Shift Motul Suzuki young gun Matt Moss will also be on-hand to sign autographs during the expo, along with dual New Zealand Superbike Champion Robbie Bugden from Team Joe Rocket Suzuki, who will ride the all-new GSX-R1000 in the 2009 Australian Superbike Championship.

An extensive fleet of Suzuki's street bikes, cruisers, scooters, off-road motorcycles and ATVs will complete a massive display at Gold Coast Convention Centre between 20-22 February.
