08 February 2013 - Core to the key development

with this in mind, Honda Australia is thrilled to announce that the

with exceptionally competitive prices.
The sporty CBR500R will boast a low $6,990 price tag for the
standard and $7,490 for the ABS variant, the adventure CB500X
shares the $7,490 figure, while the naked CB500F will have a price
tag of just $7,290. (Please note these prices are the Manufacturers

Honda's new 500cc trio will capture the next generation of
motorcyclists by offering excellent handling, advanced
environmental performance, innovative designs and complete
convenience all wrapped up in three LAMS approved packages. The
CBR500R and CB500F will make their Australian debut in April 2013
and the CB500X will follow one month later in May 2013.
The three variants all are powered by a lightweight, compact
500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine which focuses on
high-rpm output characteristics while considering the low-to-mid
rpm range that will be most frequently used by the entry rider.
Another shared feature is the new frame and chassis that has been
developed especially for the new trio. Fusing flexibility and
rigidity, excellent dimensions have been created to give a broad
spectrum of users a controlled feel.
Dedicated to providing the utmost rider confidence, the CB500F
and CB500X will both feature an ABS braking system, while the
CBR500R will come with ABS as an option.
Ideal for budding sports riders or those wishing to scale back
from a larger supersports machine, the new CBR500R's modern styling
and new appeal is in keeping with Honda's iconic CBR history. This
fully cowled sports machine achieves power and practicality by
engaging a slim sporty exterior that results in a refined,
high-quality design that imparts a sense of the model's easy
handling and relaxed riding position.
Honda has designed the CB500F with dynamic proportions and
practical aspects with the view of appealing to the next generation
of naked motorcycle riders. Aiming for a modern European style, the
CB500F boasts individuality in design, easy-to-manage chassis
weight, dextrous handling and low seat position, ensuring it is the
perfect entry level machine to ride around town.
Taking inspiration from Honda's 1200cc V4 Crosstourer, the
CB500X will excite the most adventurous rider. With a design
concept focused around strength and dynamism, the CB500X offers a
compact body resulting in an easy-to-handle, attractive lightweight
crossover model. Ideal for riders from entry level to experienced,
the upright riding position and the on/off practicality will be
ideal for a variety of environments and situations, from urban to
off-road.
Thrilled to be bringing this diverse model line-up into the
Australian market, Honda is confident the CBR500R, CB500F and
CB500X with their unbeatable fuel efficiency, flagship good looks
and excellent performance will offer freedom and flexibility to a
new generation of riders.
The CBR500R will sport three colour variants, Tri-Colour, Graphite
Black and Victory Red, the naked CB500F will be available in
Graphite Black and Victory Red and the adventurous CB500X will
