Concept
In designing the Honda CTX200, the primary objective was to
create a new generation Agricultural model that is easy to operate,
comfortable to ride and designed specifically for Australian
conditions. Through extensive market research Honda ascertained
that Australian farmers desired a motorcycle that could handle the
extremely diverse conditions and long distances that characterise
Australian rural properties. This is why characteristics of the XR
range of motorcycles such as reliability, strong engine
performance, and good handling and suspension have become an
integral part of the new CTX200.
Aspects of XR design are visible in features such as:
- Front hydraulic disc brake
- Large diameter front forks
- Pro-Link type rear suspension
- Long comfortable thickly padded seat
- XR style front mudguard
- Single cylinder engine with strong power and a wide torque
range.
- The new CTX200 also retains many of the user-friendly
attributes of the original CT200 that made it so successful, w hile
also incorporating features of the mighty XR range to increase it's
useability in a variety of applications. All of these design
elements combine to make the CTX200 easy to operate and comfortable
to ride so farmers can concentrate on the job at hand.
