Honda's extensive network of nearly 200 motorcycles Dealers
nationwide has recently expanded their road going demo fleet,
giving customers more opportunity than ever before to "try before
you buy", according to National Sales Manager, Jason Nicholas.
"We've just introduced a new demo plan and our Dealers have
jumped on it which means that there is an even bigger fleet in
store," Nicholas said.
Honda's current range includes an impressive array of sport,
cruising and touring bikes such as the Championship winning
CBR1000RR, all-new-for-2007 CBR600RR, flame-sporting VTX1800, top
selling CBR1100XX Blackbird, iconic GL1800Goldwing (now in new
colours for '07), and the recently upgraded NT700V Deauville
featuring built-in panniers.
The manufacturer's scooter range including the Today50, Lead 100
and @125 offers superb fuel economy and convenience, or for those
wanting something with more power, they can have a try of Honda's
new maxi scooter " the Silverwing 600.
"Test rides for scooters can also be booked, and some selected
Dealers are also now offering try it sessions on dirt bikes,"
Nicholas said.
"Anyone who thinks that Honda hasn't been doing much in recent
times to expand their range of bikes and options should really pop
into their nearest Dealer and have a look."
"They will be pleasantly surprised and will also be able to
check out a variety of models to see how they actually perform on
the road."
According to Nicholas, those new to test riding a motorcycle
should pay attention to a few important points during their ride
including how well the bike handles " particularly through corners
and over bumps " rider comfort and ergonomics, power delivery,
braking and instrumentation.
They should also talk to their Dealer about what kind of riding
they plan to do (i.e. touring, track days, daily commuting, racing,
off roading, etc) as well as the ongoing maintenance schedule,
riding expenses such as safety gear, and additional courses
available for beginner to experienced riders from providers such as
Honda Australia Rider Training (HART).
