BMW Motorrad has once again raised the bar in the superbike and roadster segment with the all-new BMW M 1000 RR, BMW S 1000 RR, BMW M 1000 R and BMW S 1000 R. These high-performance machines have all undergone an impressive technical and cosmetic overhaul, delivering riders with an optimum blend of raw power, cutting edge technology and refined aesthetics.

Key updates seen across the lineup include the Euro 5+ homologation of the engines and the inclusion of the M short-stroke throttle with a reduced rotation angle. The throttle, with its reduced rotation angle, ensures relaxed throttle control without the need to reposition the hand or twist the wrist. The rotation angle is now 58 degrees instead of the previous 72 degrees.

These advancements ensure exceptional efficiency and emissions compliance while also providing riders with even more precise and responsive throttle control for an unparalleled level of dynamic performance.

BMW M 1000 RR: Drastically increased performance through more power, enhanced downforce and steering angle sensor technology

The BMW M 1000 RR features a significantly revised in-line four engine. Its peak output is now 160kW (218 hp) at 14,500rpm, an improvement of 4kW (6hp) over its predecessor. The power enhancement is due to newly designed full-shaft titanium valves, an increase in the compression ratio to 14.5:1 (previously 13.5:1), new oval-shaped intake and exhaust ports, an adapted airbox geometry as well as a modified combustion chamber shape and larger throttle valves.

The BMW M 1000 RR also possesses optimised aerodynamic qualities due to a newly designed front fairing. This, in combination with the newly constructed carbon fibre M Winglets - which drastically produces stronger aerodynamic downforce - support even faster lap times on the racetrack. Furthermore, the Flex Frame has been further developed and now includes a new engine mount on the left side.

BMW Motorrad has also made improvements to the control systems. The all-new BMW M 1000 RR comes standard with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) featuring a 6-axis sensor cluster, lean angle sensor and fine-tuning for enhanced safety and performance during acceleration. A new feature of the DTC is the Slide Control function, an extension of the DTC Slip regulation. The introduction of steering angle sensor technology has also led to the new Brake Slide Assist function of the BMW Race ABS Pro. Unlike conventional ABS systems, the ABS Pro offers increased safety when braking around corners and reduces the risk of falling during panic braking. Combined with the M short-stroke throttle, this results in significantly increased performance and control.

Similar to its predecessor, the all-new BMW M 1000 RR is offered in two versions: the M 1000 RR base variant in the primary colour Light White/M Motorsport and the M 1000 RR M Competition in the primary colour Black Storm Metallic. To further enhance the aesthetic appeal, all carbon parts are finished in a matte look.

BMW S 1000 RR: Even higher track performance and significantly enhanced standard features

The latest iteration of BMWs iconic S 1000 RR superbike continues to draw its formidable power from a potent inline-four engine with an output of 154kW (210 hp) at 13,750rpm.

The increased performance of the all-new BMW S 1000 RR is derived from further enhancement of aerodynamics. The winglets on the front fairing now produce significantly more downforce, both in an upright position and when leaning. The brake cooling ducts are another key aspect in optimising aerodynamics and are integrated into the new front wheel fender. They reduce the brake temperature during track use and in turn enhance performance by providing more consistent brake pressure.

Echoing the bold design of the pioneering first-generation RR from 2009, the BMW S 1000 RR also features asymmetrical design side panels. While the left side is characterised by a large exit opening for heat dissipation, the right side features a dynamic distinctive grill for a striking and robust look.

The standard features of the all-new BMW S 1000 RR have also been significantly enhanced. Previously, the BMW S 1000 RR came standard with the four riding modes “Rain,” “Road,” “Dynamic,” and “Race.” The Pro riding modes that were originally offered as optional are now standard with additional riding modes “Race Pro 1,” “Race Pro 2,” and “Race Pro 3.” Additional standard equipment also includes two more combinations of throttle response and engine torque, as well as the Engine Brake and Hill Start Control Pro functions, five-level adjustable ABS in the “Race Pro” modes, and the ABS setting “Slick.” The Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) is also a new standard feature.

The S 1000 RR is offered in three attractive colour schemes: the base variant in Black Storm Metallic, the Sport model variant in Bluestone Metallic with matte graphic applications, and the M Motorsport variant in Light White/M Motorsport in combination with the M package.

BMW M 1000 R: Refinement for the M roadster

With an engine output still at 154kW (210 hp), the Euro 5+ emissions standard and a DIN curb weight of 199kg, the all-new M 1000 R brings riding dynamics to the roadster segment that are typically reserved for pure superbikes.

The dual-flow LED headlight, inspired by the iconic RR models, brings a captivating new design that heightens both style and visibility.

The traction control system has undergone an impressive overhaul. Drawing inspiration from the high-performance RR models, the new control strategy, combined with the agile M short-stroke throttle, delivers a noticeable boost in performance –  especially when unleashing the motorcycle’s full potential on the racetrack during spirited track day outings.

In all colour schemes the rear frame and swingarm of the new model year are in Platinum Grey metallic. The winglets are finished in black textured paint, while the covers for the clutch and generator are also coated in black.

An expanded range of Original BMW Motorrad accessories and special equipment completes the scope of changes. Now available are a luggage plate for the passenger seat, carbon winglets and a low tinted windshield.

BMW S 1000 R: Dynamic roadster with increased power and enhanced standard features

The all-new dynamic BMW S 1000 R is a true force to be reckoned with on the road. Boasting a particularly linear and full torque curve, as well as a harmonious power characteristic, this motorcycle delivers an unparalleled riding experience. Compared with its predecessor, the engine power has been increased by 4kW (5hp) to 125kW (170 hp) at an unchanged nominal engine speed of 11,000rpm.

The optimised standard Shift Assistant Pro supports even smoother gear changes. Combined with the new M short-stroke throttle, this results in a significantly more dynamic setup and noticeably better acceleration in all scenarios. Additionally, the traction control DTC of the BMW S 1000 R benefits from the revisions made from the BMW M 1000 R, further enhancing its performance.

The BMW S 1000 R also receives the new dual-flow LED headlight derived from the RR models providing a more arresting appearance. Additional standard features of the BMW S 1000 R include the engine drag torque control (MSR) with configurable “Engine Brake,” a short license plate holder and a USB-C charging socket under the seat.

BMW Motorrad has further expanded its already impressive range of specialised equipment and Original BMW Motorrad accessories for the new model year. Riders can now equip their bikes with a navigation device holder (Ride Cradle), handlebar end mirrors, a luggage plate for the pillion seat, and a low-tinted windshield. These new options provide enhanced functionality and customisation possibilities to elevate the riding experience.

The BMW S 1000 R is offered in three attractive colour schemes: the base variant in Blackstorm metallic, the Sport model variant in Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow, and in combination with the M package in Light White/M Motorsport.

The following outlines available paintwork options and applicable models:
